Some Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to former Gunners star Mesut Ozil scoring for Fenerbahce in the Europa League last night.
What’s the story?
Ozil, who left Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in January 2021 for Turkish giants Fenerbahce, was in action last night.
Fenerbahce played out a 1-1 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt away from home in Germany in the Europa League.
Former Real Madrid attacking midfielder Ozil opened the scoring after 10 minutes.
What are Arsenal fans saying?
As you can see from the tweets below, Arsenal fans were pleased to see Ozil scoring in Europe on Thursday evening.
Well, some of them anyway.
Ozil may have left Arsenal, but it seems that the 32-year-old playmaker is still very popular among some supporters of the North London club.

The attacker was a divisive figure during his time at the Emirates Stadium.
While there was no doubt about Ozil’s creative ability, there were suggestions that he did not do enough defensively.
Ozil scored 33 goals in 184 Premier League appearances.
The attacker last played for Arsenal in March 2020, with Arteta not including him in his Premier League or Europa League squad for the first half of last season before his contract with the Gunners was mutually terminated.
