Some Oxford United fans have responded to Everton left-back Luke Garbutt’s post on Twitter, urging him to return to the club next season.

Garbutt played for League One club Oxford on loan from Premier League side Everton for the 2018-19 campaign.

The 25-year-old left-back made 18 starts and seven substitute appearances in League One for Karl Robinson’s side this season, scoring four goals in the process, according to WhoScored.

The former England Under-21 international left-back is going back to his parent club Everton, and he has sent a message to the fans on Twitter and has received some very good responses.

Back to Oxford United?

Garbutt is 25 years of age, and it is hard to see the left-back – who earns £28,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – establish himself in the Everton first team.

If Oxford want the left-back back for the 2019-20 campaign, then it will make sense for the left-back to return to Grenoble Road.
