Loftus-Cheek played alongside Tottenham ace Alli at the World Cup.

Owen Hargreaves has told BT Sport that Chelsea playmaker Ruben Loftus-Cheek is similar to Tottenham Hotspur attacker Dele Alli, after the Blues star scored a superb hat-trick against Bate Borisov on Thursday.
Loftus-Cheek, 22, scored all of Chelsea’s three goals as the west London outfit eased past Bate, but his future at Stamford Bridge remains somewhat in doubt as Maurizio Sarri continues to overlook him.
Indeed, the England international has made only two Premier League appearances this season for Chelsea, with the likes of Ross Barkley and Mateo Kovacic being picked ahead of him.
Hargreaves spoke on BT’s coverage of Chelsea’s win on Thursday night, comparing him to Tottenham’s crocked star Alli by describing both as “unstoppable forces”.
“He’s like Dele Alli, he’s an unstoppable force really,” Hargreaves said. “Today [Thursday evening] was a dominant performance and it could turn his career around.”

Alli remains sidelined through injury, having only managed six appearances and scoring two goals this season. Also 22 years of age, the former MK Dons ace has much more experience at senior level – clocking up 240 appearances.
Loftus-Cheek, meanwhile, has managed 61 appearances after joining Crystal Palace on loan last season. It is is perhaps understandable to see why pundits suggest Loftus-Cheek should move on.
