Owen Hargreaves has said on BT Sport 1 (11:08pm. September 16, 2021) that Jota was terrific for Celtic’s Ange Postecoglou against Real Betis last night.
Celtic suffered a 4-3 defeat to Betis away from home in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
Jota, signed on loan from Benfica in the summer transfer window, provided the assist for the first goal.
Former Manchester United and Manchester City midfielder Hargreaves was impressed by the 22-year-old winger.
Hargreaves said on BT Sport 1 (11:08pm. September 16, 2021): “I’ll tell you what, Jota was a handful all game, terrific. Step overs, trickery, bit of pace. Puts in a perfect ball for Ajeti,”
Big player for Celtic
Jota is a very good and promising young winger who has already done well for Celtic this season.
The youngster has provided one assist in the Europa League and has played once in the Scottish Premiership so far this season.
The winger showed his pace and tricks against Betis, and Celtic fans will surely have been encouraged by his display.
It was a disappointing result against Betis, but Celtic should be pleased with the overall performance.
For the Hoops to win the Scottish Premiership title and progress to the latter stages of the Europa League this season, Jota will have to be on top form.
