The Blackburn boss is in ‘numerous conversations’ about new signings
Blackburn Rovers manager Owen Coyle is still looking for new players
Blackburn Rovers boss Owen Coyle has told the Lancashire Telegraph that he hopes to bring some new faces to Ewood Park before this weekend’s game against Fulham.
The Rovers boss is chasing a number of targets and he has highlighted his desire to bring in first and foremost a new left-back, but also mentioned looking for a centre back, a winger, a forward and potentially a central-midfielder as well.
Coyle has already signed a few players including three forwards in the form of Sam Gallagher, Danny Graham and Anthony Stokes from Southampton, Sunderland and Celtic respectively.
Sam Gallagher has joined the club on loan from Southampton
He has also brought in Liam Feeney and Stephen Henderson on loan, but they will not be the only faces to arrive at Ewood Park, if Coyle has his way.
“Numerous conversations with clubs are taking place.
“I was trying to bring in a couple of players for last Saturday, it never materialised, but it won’t stop us from trying.
“It’ll be the same faces for the cup game but we’d certainly like to try and add for the Fulham game at the weekend.”
Burton Albion’s Tom Naylor earned his side a point late on against Rovers
Blackburn will be hoping any new arrivals will be able to push the club forward after a disappointing start to the new season.
Rovers are currently languishing at the foot of the Championship table with just a point to show from their first four games.
Blackburn have a had a tough start to the new campaign
A run of defeats was arrested on Saturday with a home draw against Burton, where Coyle’s side were denied all three points by a late Tom Naylor header.
They take on Crewe tonight in the EFL Cup second round, where they will be hoping to return to winning ways ahead of this weekend’s Championship fixture against Fulham.
