Blackburn Rovers beat Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon.
Quoted by the Chronicle, Blackburn Rovers manager Owen Coyle has reiterated his belief that Newcastle United will win the Championship this season.
The Rovers manager took his team to Saint James Park on Saturday afternoon looking to put a dent in the Magpies promotion hopes.
They managed to do just that as well as a goal from Charlie Mulgrew consigned the Magpies to just their fourth defeat of the season.

The result meant that the gap at the top of the table was reduced to just two points as Brighton and Hove Albion beat Fulham.
But Coyle, who backed Newcastle for the title before the game, stuck by that choice despite his side’s win.
“In my mind Newcastle will go on and win the Championship, I’ve got no doubt about that,” he told the Chronicle.
“The quality they have, it is there in abundance; they can make four or five changes and it doesn’t affect their team because of the quality.”

The pressure is now on Newcastle to go on and secure the title for themselves this season.
They are undoubtedly the strongest team in the division but results such as this one show it will not be an easy campaign by any means.
Indeed, this defeat was another demonstration to Rafa Benitez and his men that they will have to be in top form throughout to ensure they return to the Premier League and it remains to be seen whether they are capable of doing that.
