Celtic defender Kieran Tierney has been the subject of serious interest from Premier League side Arsenal this summer.

Owen Coyle has suggested that Neil Lennon may be planning for life without Celtic defender Kieran Tierney following his comments on the player.
Left-back Tierney is attracting interest from Premier League side Arsenal, as Lennon stated that he doesn’t want the player to become unsettled at the club, as quoted by Herald Scotland.
Speaking to Football Daily on BBC Radio 5 Live, former Premier League manager Coyle shared his thoughts on the Tierney situation.
“If Arsenal get him for £25 million, it’s an absolute steal,” Coyle told BBC Radio 5 Live. “He’s great going forward. He has improved defensively and the other great thing is he has pedigree because he’s played Champions League games.
On Neil Lennon’s comments: “I think that’s how it sounded to me [that Lennon is preparing the groundwork to sell Tierney] that if the right offer comes in, they have probably sat down with Kieran. I don’t know whether he has stated now’s the time for a new challenge because he’s a Celtic boy through and through. He loves the club.

“But I think they have all sat down and said ‘if the right offer comes in, it will be the right time for you to go’. I think the fans will be disappointed if that happens because he has played a huge part in what has happened at the club.”
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Tierney and whether he will still be a Celtic player when the transfer window slams shut on August 8.
From Arsenal’s perspective, they are in need of defensive quality, whereas Celtic’s chances of winning the Scottish Premiership title will increase if their academy product stays put.
