Sunderland are interested in a summer move for Italian under-21 international Adam Masina, Tuttomercatoweb report.
The Black Cats are claimed to be ready to move for the Bologna defender, regardless of their league status next season.
Masina is a left-back who began his career in youth football as a striker, before making his first team breakthrough back in 2013.
He is now 23 and has been a regular for Bologna this season, making 27 appearances for his side, who sit 13th in Serie A.

Masina was born on Morocco and remains eligible to represent them at senior international level if he so chooses, despite his five caps for Italy’s under-21s. He is currently under contract until 2019.
The full-back would compete for a place with January signing Bryan Oviedo at Sunderland, who arrived from Everton to replace Patrick Van Aanholt.
Oviedo has had a mixed spell so far and it would make sense that Sunderland would want to strengthen their options, especially if they face a gruelling 46 game season in the Championship in 2017/18.
