Rangers had to work hard for all three points on Saturday.

Rangers ace Ovie Ejaria spoke to reporters after his side’s hard-fought 2-0 win away at St Mirren on Saturday, and shared what Daniel Candeias told him, after the Portuguese opened the scoring at St Mirren Park, as quoted by the Daily Record.
The Gers currently sit in third position in the Scottish Premiership table, five points adrift of league leaders Hearts, although they do have a game in hand over the Edinburgh outfit.
Steven Gerrard’s men have been far from their best in recent weeks, but they remain in contention both domestically and on the continent.
Ejaria, who joined Rangers on loan from Liverpool in the summer, insisted that he was always confident that his side would end up with all three points against St Mirren, whilst sharing what Candeias told him after scoring the opening goal, as quoted by the Daily Record:

“I was quite confident because we were in control and had more of the ball. It was just a question of taking the chances when they came. Daniel said it was a cross for his opener but we’ll take that and then Alfredo finished really well from a tight angle.”
Next up for Rangers is a trip to Spartak Moscow in the Europa League on Thursday night, and Gerrard’s men will have to be at their very best, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of leaving Russia with anything to show for their efforts.
