Liverpool-owned Ovie Ejaria could reportedly play for Sunderland against Millwall in the Championship this weekend.

Liverpool-owned Ovie Ejaria could feature for Sunderland against Millwall this weekend, according to The Sunderland Echo.

Ejaria joined Championship club Sunderland on loan from Premier League side Liverpool in the January transfer window.

The 20-year-old midfielder has been suffering a thigh injury of late, but, according to The Sunderland Echo, the youngster could feature in the Championship game against Millwall away from home at The Den on Saturday afternoon.

It has been reported that Ejaria is in contention to return alongside Jonny Williams, and that he participated in full training at the Stadium of Light on Thursday.

Positive update

Ejaria has been able to make only two appearances in the Championship for Sunderland since his loan move from Liverpool.

The English youngster is a very talented and promising young player, and the midfielder getting playing time is only going to be beneficial for him, as well as for Liverpool, who will want him to return to Anfield in the summer of 2018 with some valuable first-team experience.
