Liverpool-owned Rangers midfielder Ovie Ejaria has admitted to The Glasgow Evening Times that it was tough for him to play the number of games he did in the opening weeks of the season for Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club.

Ejaria, who joined Rangers on loan from Liverpool in the summer transfer window, has score one goal in eight Scottish Premiership appearances for the Gers so far this season, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

The 20-year-old midfielder – who earns £2000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – played three times in the Scottish League Cup and in eight Europa League qualifying games for the Gers, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

The England Under-21 international – who spent the second half of last season on loan at Sunderland from Liverpool – has played in two Europa League matches for Rangers so far this campaign, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

Ejaria has admitted that it was tough for him in the opening weeks of the campaign when he was involved in too many matches for Rangers than he was used to.

“It is probably the most amount of games I have played in the first part of a season since I have been playing,” Ejaria told The Glasgow Evening Times.

“It has been tough. At first it was quite tough because I wasn’t used to it but now it has been going on for a few months I am used to it and I am recovering well between games.”
