Blackburn Rovers fans on Twitter were overjoyed with Barry Douglas’s performance after the Leeds United loanee helped them to a 3-0 win over rivals Preston North End.
Tony Mowbray’s side won the battle in Lancashire in a quite comfortable fashion and a certain Leeds defender has wowed them, with some backing him for the Man of the Match.
After winning two promotions with Wolves and Leeds, Douglas found himself back in the Championship once again this summer because he was searching for regular football.
Well, that experience the Scotsman has got in his locker is coming to fruition already, and from the perspective of the Rovers fans, he is a joy to watch on the flanks.
Douglas has a wand of a left-foot that helps his striker teammates sleep well at night because they know the delivery is going to be on the money.
The more games Douglas is getting under his belt, the better he is seemingly getting, even though he had to self-isolate for a period of time recently.
Since his debut, only two other fullbacks have created more chances than him (he’s only played four matches) and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him top that list in May.
