Reading’s Moore, who is being linked with a £5 million move to Celtic, played under Warburton in 2015.

“He’s an outstanding talent who has a bright future ahead of him.” That’s the assessment of Mark Warburton when discussing rumoured Celtic target Liam Moore in 2015, as quoted by Get West London.
According to the Daily Record, Celtic’s Brendan Rodgers has placed Moore, who plays as a centre-half for English Championship side Reading FC, at the top of his transfer wishlist ahead of the January window.

And having signed Moore twice while at Brentford – once as Sporting Director and again as manager – it is plausible that Warburton’s opinion of the 24-year-old will have been sought by Rodgers, assuming he is indeed keen to sign him.
The pair may have been rivals at Rangers and Celtic respectively last season, but they were once close colleagues at Watford.

And there’s perhaps a part of Warburton that would take pleasure from seeing Celtic extend their dominance of Scottish football, after his acrimonious split from Rangers earlier this year.
Unless, of course, he fancies bringing Moore to Nottingham Forest.
