Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to heap praise on Nathan Patterson, after his excellent display in the 2-0 Europa League win over Lech Poznan yesterday.
The 19-year-old was making just his fifth first-team appearance for Rangers against the Polish giants, but he didn’t let anyone down.
SofaScore shows that the teenager completed three successful tackles in his 66 minutes on the pitch.
In total, he won six of his attempted nine ground duels.
He also recorded one clearance, one interception and one block in an eye-catching defensive display.

Attacking wise, the youngster was also quite impressive. Patterson completed three successful dribbles, and had 54 touches in total.
However, the Scotland Under-21 international did lose possession 20 times. Having said that, you would rather he tried some daring passes which don’t come off, instead of being too cautious.
If anyone can be forgiven for being a bit sloppy in possession, it’s the teenager who delivered an assured, confident display on the European stage.

With the win, Steven Gerrard’s side set a new record. After amassing 14 points in Group D, the Gers recorded the largest-ever points tally for a Scottish side in a European Group Stage.
The ex-Liverpool captain really is doing a tremendous job.
Let’s see what the Rangers fans on Twitter were saying about Patterson’s display…
