Some Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking the club with Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
According to The Sun, Leeds – who will play in the Premier League during the 2020-21 campaign after winning automatic promotion from the Championship – are interested in signing Martinez from Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old goalkeeper has been playing regularly in the first team for the Gunners in recent weeks, but that is only due to the injury suffered by Bernd Leno.
Leno is the first-choice goalkeeper at Arsenal when he is fit and available, and one suspects that the German will be back between the posts on a regular basis next season.
Kiko Casilla is the first-choice goalkeeper at Leeds, who have recently signed Illan Meslier on a permanent contract after a loan spell from Lorient.
Meslier is a very young goalkeeper, but the Frenchman did well in the final weeks of the Championship season in the absence of Casilla, who was suspended.
