Clinton Morrison told Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports (26/12/20 at 1:25 pm) that Raphinha has been a ‘hell of a player’ for Leeds this season.
Purchased for £17 million in the summer [BBC Sport], Leeds’ new man on the wings is making himself known to the rest of the Premier League.
Whilst Leeds suffered a pretty dreadful day at Old Trafford last time out, Raphinha was one rare shining light on that day.
Former Crystal Palace hitman Morrison shared his thoughts on what Raphinha has brought to the table since joining the club in the summer.
“Oh, he’s been a hell of a player,” said Morrison. “He has taken time to get into this team but over the last month I think he has been outstanding.
“He beats people. He is keeping Costa out, at the moment. Him and Harrison on either wing. He has been outstanding, so far.
“He’s brought into it. He works hard. He tracks back. And he creates chances. But he’s just so lively. He doesn’t hug the touchline. What he does is that he comes in off the line and he makes it difficult for fullbacks to mark him. I think he has been an excitement for Leeds and long may it continue.”

There does seem to be a fearless nature about Raphinha’s play and that bodes pretty well for the club he plays for.
Marcelo Bielsa wants his team to be on the front foot, whether they are 3-0 up or losing 4-0, as they were at one point against Manchester United.
But so far those in the Leeds boardroom will feel that the signs are promising in regards to the money they spent on Raphinha.
