Roy Keane told Super Sunday on Sky Sports that reported Arsenal target, Jesse Lingard, has been ‘on fire’ for West Ham.
Yet again, the 28-year-old was the star of the show for his Champions League-chasing side, netting a brace during his side’s win against Leicester from the weekend.
To the surprise of not many, it has fueled talk about a number of clubs keen to snap up the Manchester United loanee at the end of the season, including his current club and those at Arsenal (Evening Standard).
After his heroics for West Ham at the weekend, Keane praised Lingard for his turnaround, before giving him a mark out of ten for his dancing.
“One,” said Keane. “I used to do this dance before but usually after a Bacardi and Coke. When he scored goals like that then, I suppose, I have to give him a little bit of credit.
“Credit to West Ham and Jesse Lingard, they have been outstanding. Where I give Jesse credit for is that he has turned up at West Ham having not played much football for Manchester United in the last few months.
“Of course, he has kept himself in good shape. It’s a sign of a good pro. He had a difficult spell at United. Maybe took his eye off the ball.
“He was always a talented boy. But he looks focused and he looks hungry. He always had that talent and it’s great to see.
“Jesse Lingard is on fire. Was it a lucky finish (his first goal)? I think it was a brilliant strike. You have got to be prepared to be there, to run forward, which he does. And the kid is on fire.”

Game by game and goal by goal, Lingard’s price tag continues to rise and it doesn’t bode well for either West Ham or Arsenal.
They aren’t heavy spenders in the transfer market, and if Manchester United want to sell and want to become start a bidding war, then they can ask for some serious dough for his talents.
More so for West Ham, because he has had such an impact at the club, it will be interesting to see how far they push for his signature
