Some Wolves fans on social media have been lavishing praise upon Rui Patricio despite the fact they were beaten 4-1 by Manchester City on Tuesday evening.
It’s not often you hear a goalkeeper given credit after shifting four goals, but if we’re being honest, this could have been eight or nine if it wasn’t for Patricio.
That’s not a knock on Wolves either, Man City are just that good and despite the fact they were playing against a goalkeeper who was on top of his game, City still put four past Wolves.
It would have been easy for supporters to get on the goalkeeper’s back after such a scoreline, but Wolves fans who watched the game seemingly unanimously agreed that he was one of their better players.
It’s hard to argue that point either, Patricio made a string of impressive saves, and while his clean sheet tally hasn’t increased, he’s once again shown why he’s one of the best goalies in this division.
