Liverpool are gearing up for a difficult visit to Arsenal tomorrow afternoon.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have only won two of their first seven Premier League outings this season and defeat away to the Gunners on Sunday may just kill their hopes of winning the title once and for all.

If Liverpool lose at Arsenal then they’ll be 14 points behind the North Londoners, with Manchester City also 13 clear of the Anfield outfit if they can pick up a victory this weekend too.

With that in mind, Klopp absolutely needs his best players available for the Emirates Stadium test but, unfortunately, it doesn’t look like that’s possible.

According to The Echo, Thiago Alcantara has sat out Liverpool training ahead of facing the Premier League table-toppers.

The Spain international, labelled ‘outstanding‘ by Klopp earlier this year, was not photographed in the latest training-ground pictures released by the Reds in what is a major worry.

Remember, Klopp already had pre-existing midfield problems, with Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain among those absent.

So to be missing Thiago too, well that’s obviously less than ideal for a Liverpool side who need things – including injuries – to start going their way immediately.
