Gary Lineker has described Bukayo Saka as ‘outrageously talented’ following another massive performance for Arsenal this afternoon.
Saka inspired Arsenal to a 3-2 victory away to Watford as Mikel Arteta’s outfit moved fourth in the Premier League standings.
The 20-year-old picked up the Man of the Match award after setting up Martin Odegaard’s opener with a brilliant cut-back pass, before slamming home a second himself to make it 2-1 before half time.
Here’s how Lineker reacted to the England international’s performance this afternoon:
Contract extension
It’s massively important that Arsenal extend Saka’s contract as soon as possible.
This summer, the Gunners’ academy product will only have two years left to go on his existing deal, making the North Londoners vulnerable.
And if the Emirates Stadium side fail to qualify for the Champions League, well that’ll make things a lot scarier from an Arsenal perspective.
According to Spotrac, Saka is only earning £30,000 per week – £60,000 less than Gabriel Martinelli – and it’s so essential that a bumper new contract is offered, and signed.
