Leeds player Mateusz Bogusz has taken to Instagram to share his delight at overcoming an ACL injury to return to play for loan side Ibiza – and Leeds stars Tyler Roberts and Crysencio Summerville have both responded to his post.
Bogusz, 21, was sent on loan to second-tier Spanish side Ibiza last season. But after a wonderful first half to the campaign, he suffered an ACL injury. It came after scoring four goals and laying on seven assists in 22 appearances.
He returned to Leeds to undergo rehab on the injury. Jesse Marsch even spoke about the Poland Under-21 international, hinting he needed to take a look at him before making a decision. Now, he has returned to Ibiza on loan.
In his first Instagram post since returning to Ibiza – where he plays alongside ex-Manchester City man Nolito – Bogusz shared his delight at returning from injury. He could feature in Saturday’s clash against Real Oviedo.

It is brilliant news for Bogusz. The playmaker is one of plenty of potential and has a real chance of becoming a top-tier player in one of Europe’s biggest leagues. But whether he can still make it at Leeds, is a different story.
Joining Leeds in January 2019, he has only managed three senior appearances. Instead, he has gone out on loan to Logrones and then Ibiza. Hopefully, he can recover the kind of form he was showing prior to the devastating injury.
As things stand, Bogusz is out of contract at Elland Road at the end of the current season. Unless he completely stuns the Ibiza crowd with some wonderful performances, Leeds are unlikely to hand him a new deal.
But he is clearly well-liked at Elland Road and both Summerville and Roberts – who is also on loan, at QPR- responded.
