Ivan Reggiani has told Calciomercato.it that he doubts Mohamed Salah will ditch Liverpool for Juventus in the summer transfer window, despite the Serie A side’s plans for the sales.

The Bianconeri are eager to continue strengthening their frontline in the off-season after a January move for Dusan Vlahovic. Massimiliano Allegri is keen to add to the Serbian striker and add balance to Federico Chiesa on the other flank. One option reportedly being Salah.

Juventus are even prepared to match Salah’s demands, per Gazzetta Dello Sport, as the Egyptian is looking to leave Liverpool. His contract at Anfield is set to expire next year, but the £34m former Roma winger wants to secure a change of scenery 12-months earlier.

Talks between the Serie A side and Salah’s camp have also started already, according to Luca Momblano. He and his agent did not reject their approach, either, and will now hold further talks after Egypt’s World Cup qualifiers as Juve’s interest honoured Salah greatly.

Barcelona could also test Liverpool’s resolve for Salah in the summer transfer window and rival Juventus for his services. Sport report the Blaugrana are plotting a €70m (£58m) bid, yet the Reds could demand as much as €100m (£83m) to sell their £200k-a-week dynamo.

Reggiani doubts ‘out of the ordinary’ Salah ditching Liverpool for Juventus

Salah has left Reggiani in awe with what the possible Juventus or Barcelona transfer target has achieved at Liverpool. The 29-year-old has struck 28 and assisted 10 goals in 36 games so far this season across all competitions. He has hit 20 in 27 Premier League games alone.

But the Italian agent doubts Salah will ditch Merseyside for Turin at the end of the season. A decision which will leave the Bianconeri hierarchy to look elsewhere for a potential heir for Paulo Dybala’s throne. A position the Old Lady were lining up for Salah this summer.

“Salah has found a dimension in England that is out of the ordinary,” Reggiani said. “He has a community in his countrymen, an appreciation from the society out of any idea.

“I don’t think he can move from Liverpool, also because this year they will be one of the richest teams in Europe. They are doing a unique job in the world of football.”
