Dion Dublin has said on BBC Sport that Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez did not play well against Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United in the first half of the Premier League game at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
The former Manchester United player, though, noted how Nunez changed in the opening minutes of the second half of the match between Liverpool and the Red Devils.
The Uruguay international forward started the match for Liverpool.
Nunez did not have the best of first halves, but he scored for the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners in the 47th minute.
Harvey Elliott provided the assist for Nunez.
The striker scored again later in the second half.

Dublin said in the first half: “Nunez looks out of sorts for me today, he looks a bit leggy and not as explosive as he can be. He’s not really got into it yet.”
The BBC Sport pundit noted when Nunez scored: “That’s the start Liverpool wanted!
“I said he was looking sluggish earlier but he came alive when he nudged it in!”

Darwin Nunez was far from his best in the first half, but the Liverpool forward did step up his game after the break.
The striker took his two goals extremely well.
We know that Nunez misses chances a lot, but against Manchester United today, he was very clinical.
United are a massive club who are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
And they have been playing well in recent weeks.
So, scoring two goals against the Red Devils will have boosted the confidence of Nunez.
