Speaking on his YouTube channel, Rio Ferdinand has been speaking about Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah, claiming that he deserves more credit than he’s been getting.
Salah has been on top of his game this season, yet, when pundits have been putting together their Team of the Season, he’s often a notable absentee.
Ferdinand isn’t happy with the disrespect Salah is getting, and he’s spoken out about it.
“He’s not in people’s team of the season, I do not get it. He isn’t getting the respect he deserves. Mohamed Salah is a top, top, top, top player who is churning out numbers year in, year out. It’s become the norm to see him at the top of the charts now, so they just forget about him, It’s out of order,” Ferdinand said.

The Manchester United legend is absolutely right about this.
If any other player not named Mo Salah was putting up these types of numbers pundits would be fawning over him on a weekly basis, but because we’ve seen the Egyptian score 32 goals in a single league campaign in the past, we’ve all become somewhat desensitised to his exploits.
Salah is a wonderful player, and perhaps when he retires he’ll get the recognition he deserves as one of the greatest players to ever grace us with their presence in the Premier League.
The Liverpool star could win a third Golden Boot this term, and that would put him up there with some of the all-time greats.
