With the ambition at the club scaling new heights, Ronald Koeman will have to invest heavily this summer, if he is to guide his side into contention for the Champions League spots next term.
One particular area where the Dutchman will be looking to improve is the forward department, especially with Romelu Lukaku’s future at Everton looking far form certain.
The addition of a top-class striker will surely feature highly on Koeman’s wish-list, and an interesting option for the Blues would be Chelsea fringe man Michy Batshuayi.

The 23-year-old hitman has barely featured for Antonio Conte’s side this term, having made just one Premier League start all season long, and he will surely be looking for an exit from the club this summer, whether that be on loan or permanently, as he looks to reinvigorate his career.
And Goodison Park could be just the place for him to flourish.
The Belgian striker is incredibly quick, and possesses an engine that enables him to play the lone striker role with high intensity for the entire duration of the match.

If Lukaku remains with he Toffees, however, Batshuayi would be equally as efficient in playing as part of a two-pronged attack, and could strike up a formidable strike-partnership with his countryman.
The real enticing thought behind a move for the Chelsea man is that he would be an able replacement for Lukaku should he leave, whilst being an equally effective partner for the powerful Belgian, should he stay.
The former Marseille man is strong in the air, and his powerful frame enables him to compete physically with opposing defenders. He would be the perfect addition to what is an already potent Everton forward line.
The Merseyside outfit are now in a position to compete financially with the league’s biggest clubs, so will be in a position to tempt Chelsea into selling Batshuayi, should they so wish.
And if they do manage to bring the Belgian to Goodison Park this summer, he could very well help take them to the next level.
