Arsenal might reportedly have a tough time prising Ousmane Dembele from Spain.

AS claimed in April that the Gunners were keen on bringing the France international to North London when the transfer window opens.

Dembele cost Barcelona a whopping £129 million three years ago [The Guardian] but a report last week suggested that the Camp Nou club could offload him for £53 million.

That being said, it doesn’t matter all that much because Dembele, according to a report, has no intention of going to Arsenal or anybody else.

According to Le 10 Sport, the 23-year-old, who is injured, ‘absolutely’ wants to be a Barcelona next season, with his contract expiring in 2022.

If we’re honest, joining the North Londoners was never a go.

It’s perfectly believable for Barcelona to want to get rid, because his injury history is fairly shocking, but could Arsenal afford him? Not even for £53 million, no.

This global health crisis is going to have a profound knock-on effect in the football world.

Match-day revenue is worth nine figures to Arsenal every year, which should illustrate how much money they’re losing from having no home games at the moment.
