Tottenham Hotspur fans must be seriously excited after Tanguy Ndombele told Sky Sports that he still has not reached the top of his game.

Ndombele has made vast improvements at Tottenham this season, and has quickly become one of Jose Mourinho’s most trusted midfielders.

The Frenchman has recovered from a poor first season with Spurs and is now consistently producing performances worthy of a £63 million player (Sky Sports).

But Ndombele insists that there is more to come from him.

“I don’t think we have seen the best of Tanguy Ndombele yet. I’m on the right track but there’s still more to come,” he said.

Those comments should set pulses racing at Tottenham, as if Ndombele can still raise his game to new heights then he will rapidly become one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.

Ndombele’s ability on the ball has never been in doubt, but this season he has really added an aggression to his game.

The 23-year-old, who previously looked laborious when required to defend, has been snapping into tackles consistently this term and only appears too willing to press.

He has also managed to be available for Mourinho constantly, with Ndombele one of Tottenham’s most frequently used players.

His performances are already of an extremely high standard, but the fact he feels there is more to come shows that confidence is building now.

And Ndombele’s latest statement will be thrilling for any Tottenham fan reading it.
