This could be a right stinker of a summer for Tottenham Hotspur.

It’s been six weeks since Spurs fired Jose Mourinho and despite a lot of speculation about his replacement, Daniel Levy hasn’t found one.

Everybody thought it was going to be Antonio Conte as recently as 24 hours ago, but The Guardian reported that talks between the Italian and Tottenham had broken down.

The Lilywhites are back to square one in that regard and if that wasn’t bad enough, their best player in the form of Harry Kane reportedly wants to leave, which has to be linked to their struggles to hire a coach.

But things could get worse.

ESPN has suggested that Tanguy Ndombele may also consider his future.

The report claims that the France international is waiting to see who Daniel Levy hires as Mourinho’s replacement and whether Kane stays before Ndombele makes his ‘feelings known’ to the club.

Say what you want about the former Lyon midfielder – who cost Tottenham a club-record £63 million two years ago – but he’s an exceptional footballer.

And the last thing Spurs or Levy need is for other big-name players to consider their futures at the club.

Who Levy hires as manager is going to be absolutely massive because if he gets it wrong, Kane won’t be the first player itching to get away.
