Tottenham Hotspur left Christian Eriksen out of the starting XI against Bayern.

Christian Eriksen made very clear he wanted to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
He let the club know early, stating in June via Ekstra Bladet that he wanted a new challenge.
He ended the transfer window still at Spurs, but his contract is running out and expires in June.
The Express reported last month that Eriksen has refused to entertain new contract offers.
His stance will not have been changed last night.
Tottenham left Eriksen out of the starting line up which hosted Bayern Munich at home.

This was the biggest game of Tottenham’s season so far, a glamour tie between two contenders to win the competition.
Eriksen will have been immensely disappointed to have missed out, especially for Dele Alli who had been really poor in the run up to the fixture.
It was a sign that Eriksen is far from the indispensable player he would like to be at Spurs, and this will only help him make his mind up to move on.
His actions suggest he already has, and he can sign a pre-contract agreement elsewhere in January.
The manner of the 7-2 loss will only add to Eriksen’s decision that it is time for a change.
Europe’s top clubs will be hovering and Eriksen can take his pick. His departure looks inevitable at this point, its just a question of whether it is in January or next summer.
