With Emiliano Martínez set to join Aston Villa from Arsenal, as reported by The Sun, Leeds United should turn their attention to Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga.
The Daily Mail reported on August 29 that Leeds are interested in signing Martinez from Arsenal and are willing to offload Kiko Casilla in the summer transfer window.
However, according to The Sun, the Argentine is on his way to Villa in a £20 million deal, and this will come as a blow to head coach Marcelo Bielsa.
It seems that Bielsa is looking for a new goalkeeper, and the Argentine should now move onto his compatriot and Tottenham man Gazzaniga.
Earlier this month, The London Evening Standard reported that Spurs are willing to listen to offers for Gazzaniga.
The 28-year-old Argentina international has been on the books of Spurs since 2017 and has made a handful of appearances for the first team.
Hugo Lloris is the undisputed first-choice goalkeeper at Spurs, who have signed Joe Hart on a free transfer this summer.
Gazzaniga is now essentially the third-choice goalkeeper at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and one suspects that he would be receptive to a move to Leeds.

If Casilla leaves Elland Road this summer, then Illan Meslier – who started against Liverpool in the Premier League at the weekend – will be the only senior goalkeeper in the squad.
Gazzaniga will be a good replacement for Casilla, as he has experience, has played in the Premier League, knows what it takes to play for a big club, and will be confident of competing with 20-year-old Meslier for a place in the starting lineup.
With Tottenham reportedly open to offers for Gazzaniga, Leeds should not wait too long and should put in a bid soon.
