AC Milan are reportedly pursuing a deal to sign Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga. The versatile ace might be tempted to go, but Spurs sanctioning a deal could help West Ham complete a £21million deal to sign Abdou Diallo.
Tanganga, 21, has started just four Premier League matches since the North London derby – in which he was hooked at half time. Even with Antonio Conte using three in defence, Tanganga has been in and out of the side.
With Cristian Romero returning, Tanganga will be third choice on the right of the back three behind Romero and Davinson Sanchez. He will also be third-choice right wing-back, behind Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty.
So, Tanganga might be tempted to move. Milan want Tanganga on loan, while Tottenham would prefer a permanent £21million move. But the two could compromise, and perhaps a loan-to-buy deal might be orchestrated.
