Manchester United might finally be about to stamp out Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s tenure in their dugout.
A run of really bad results has left the Norwegian in an almost irreversible position.
Granted, United fans have been down this road before, only for Solskjaer to squeeze out a few victories and save his skin for a few more weeks.
But this time, it feels like the guillotine really has been sharpened and is primed to be pulled.
One severed head must be replaced by another.
That replacement reportedly being Brendan Rodgers.
According to 90min, the Leicester City manager will accept United’s offer if or when they sack their current man in charge.
Permitted that scenario becomes a reality, here are three Leicester stars we think Rodgers could bring with him to Old Trafford:
Wilfred Ndidi
The Red Devils not only need a new head coach, but a defensive midfielder as well.
For some reason, the club’s hierarchy failed to properly pursue such a player in the summer.
Instead, they splashed their cash – perhaps unnecessarily – on Jadon Sancho.
Sancho’s struggles highlight that money may have been best spent elsewhere.
For example, a move for Wilfred Ndidi, perhaps.

Ndidi is one of the Premier League’s finest protectors, having finished first or second for the division’s top tackler three times since he joined Leicester in 2017.
Rodgers probably hasn’t seen the best of the Nigeria international, due to repeated injury problems.
But the pair could reconvene at United and potentially kill two birds with one stone.
Ricardo Pereira
Another area United could do with improving is their right-back slot.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka has largely been unchallenged for the role following his switch from Crystal Palace two years ago.
Having little to no competition often leaves Solskjaer’s team short in cup games or deadpan European nights.
Rodgers may look to change that by recruiting Ricardo Pereira.

Originally a Claude Puel signing, Pereira quickly established himself amongst the league’s finest full-backs.
Unfortunately, like Ndidi, Rodgers is yet to wield the Portuguese’s full potential due to repeated trips to the treatment table.
That could be put right if the duo join forces in Manchester.
Wesley Fofana
Wesley Fofana has drawn quite a lot of attention to himself recently.
In an interview with Actu Foot, the young defender revealed he had dreams of playing for United one day.
“A club that makes me dream? There are Marseille, Real Madrid, Barca.
“In the Premier League, there are Chelsea, (Manchester) United, (Manchester) City…But you have to work to make your dreams come true,” he said.
The 20-year-old clearly has high ambitions to go alongside his high potential.

Rodgers was the one who brought him to the King Power, so it would only seem right for him to fulfill the Frenchman’s United fantasy.
Yet, a caution warning must come with this transfer.
Fofana has not kicked a competitive football this term, after he fractured his fibula and damaged ankle ligaments in a pre-season friendly.
