In terms of incomings, Raul Sanllehi’s record at Arsenal is questionable.

The club have spent close to £200 million on players since Arsene Wenger left the club two years ago and they’re ninth in the Premier League table, indicating that the recruitment probably could’ve been a bit better.

But with regards to outgoings, Raul has pulled off a few very good deals for Arsenal.

The Gunners’ Head of Football reduced the wage bill by £45 million last summer, and also picked up handsome transfer fees for the likes of Alex Iwobi and Krystian Bielik, both of whom netted the club close to £40 million.

But if one more departure materialises, for what Arsenal reportedly value him, then it’ll be Raul’s best deal to date.

According to The Mirror, the club want £27 million for linked-away right-back Hector Bellerin.

The former Barcelona product is only 25 and if you had said a few years ago that he’d only be worth £27 million in 2020 then some fans might’ve been a bit disappointed.

But as of now, that would be a steal for Arsenal.

That’s because Bellerin has a very questionable injury record and has missed 372 days through various problems since 2015. That’s more than a full year that they’ve been without Bellerin.

Secondly, that figure is much more now than it was in January, with the global health crisis wreaking havoc on clubs’ finances all across Europe and if Arsenal get that sum for an injury-prone defender then it’s a stunning piece of business by their Head of Football.
