Multiple reports have linked a number of different strikers with a move to Arsenal this summer. The Gunners could lose one of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Alexandre Lacazette, if not both, in the coming weeks.
The Frenchman is no longer Mikel Arteta’s first-choice striker at the club. Eddie Nketiah is above him in the pecking order, which could force him out before the start of next season.
Aubameyang has less than 12 months left on his contract. The former Dortmund man has been linked with a move to a few of Europe’s top clubs, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him move on this summer.
Arsenal will have to line up replacements if they lose one, or both, of their star strikers. Of the wide range of players linked with a move, Gent’s Jonathan David and Lille’s Victor Osimhen are among the best.
Goal claimed almost three months ago that the Gunners were plotting a £17.5 million move for David in order to replace Aubameyang.
While Le Foot claimed that Arsenal were among a number of clubs interested in signing Lille’s highly sought-after Nigerian star Osimhen at the end of this season.

Arsenal reportedly set to miss out on both strikers
French outlet La Voix Du Nord have claimed today that Osimhen is close to securing a move to Napoli. The Nigerian is reportedly having a medical in Naples and a move should be wrapped up pretty quickly.
Lille now have to replace their star striker who has scored 18 goals for them in all competitions. The same report claims that the French side have prioritised a move for David to fill any void left by Osimhen.
That move seems very realistic at this point. Lille are set to make lots of money from the sales of Osimhen and Gabriel Magalhaes this summer.
David, valued at £17.5 million, is extremely affordable and Lille could close a deal for him soon if their reported interest is concrete.

That leaves Arsenal in a spot of bother now. Two of their reported targets could be gone before the transfer market has even opened in England.
The Gunners need to act quick now. The preferred option would be to keep Aubameyang, but the chances of that happening look slim at the moment.
Further delay over a decision about the futures of their two star strikers could lead to Arteta missing out on more of his targets, which would cause problems for Arsenal, who are struggling financially as well.
