Tottenham Hotspur picked up an important, hard-fought win on Monday night, beating Burnley 1-0 at Turf Moor.
It wasn’t exactly vintage Tottenham, but Son Heung-min’s second-half winner proved to be the winner, giving Jose Mourinho’s men all three points.
Mourinho handed Lucas Moura a start on the right flank on Monday night, but it’s fair to say that the Brazilian didn’t justify his selection.
The 28-year-old managed no shots on targets, no successful dribbles, no accurate crosses, no tackles, no interceptions, no aerials won.
Mourinho likes having Moura in the side for his work rate, but it didn’t even translate into defensive contributions, with his one positive input being one key pass.
That was it; the one thing Moura offered. He was eventually substituted in favour of Erik Lamela, and Spurs seemed to improve from there.

This anonymous display came at the worst possible time, as Spurs have just brought Gareth Bale back to the club, and he will seemingly play on the right flank.
Add in that Lamela and Steven Bergwijn can play there, and Moura is now in danger of falling down the Spurs pecking order unless he can impact the game more consistently.
Mourinho hailed Moura for being a ‘team player’ in August, but his dismal showing at Burnley showed that Tottenham now need better – and Bale’s arrival means that Moura should be looking over his shoulder.
