If Daniel Levy can tie down both Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane to new contracts at Tottenham Hotspur in the near future then it will be a monumental move for the club.

The Independent reports how Tottenham are currently trying to arrange new deals for their two star attackers, as they plan for the future.

All the focus at the moment is on transfers with the January window now open.

However, if Tottenham can secure the futures of both Son and Kane it will be bigger than any addition they can make.

Son and Kane are the two most vital assets in Tottenham’s squad right now, and if they commit their futures it will send out a statement of the club’s ambitions for the coming years.

Son has been nothing short of a revelation this season, and seems to be thriving in Mourinho’s set-up, which allows him to run into the space which Kane has created by dropping deep.

Kane also is in one of the richest veins of form he has enjoyed throughout his whole career right now, with Mourinho getting the very best out of the England captain.

If there was any sense of that either of the pair were available, Tottenham would surely have a queue of suitors waiting to snap them up.

But by moving pro-actively to get Kane’s and Son’s future secured before it even really becomes a topic of debate, Levy could be making a hugely important move.
