Celtic have now added another winger to the mix in Mohamed Elyounoussi.

Celtic finished the summer transfer window with a flourish, but Scott Sinclair’s position at the club now looks even more difficult.
The Bhoys signed five players in the final week of the window, landing Moritz Bauer, Mohamed Elyounoussi, Greg Taylor, Lee O’Connor and Jeremie Frimpong to bolster Neil Lennon’s squad.
However, Sinclair ended up staying put at Celtic, despite being linked with an exit throughout the summer transfer window as many Engish clubs were keen.
The 30-year-old has played just 56 minutes of competitive action this season, and has often been left completely out of Lennon’s matchday squad.
Late last month, Lennon told The Scottish Sun that Sinclair deserves respect, but it was just too difficult to get him into the side with so many wingers at the club.
Yet just days later, Celtic completed a deal to sign Southampton winger Elyounoussi on loan, adding yet another winger into the mix whilst making Lennon’s comments look bizarre.
To say that about Sinclair and then sign yet another winger suggests the initial comments had little truth or intent behind them, and Sinclair’s long-term future in Glasgow looks more and more in doubt as time passes.

Celtic now have Elyounoussi, James Forrest, Mikey Johnston, Lewis Morgan, Maryan Shved, Jonny Hayes, Daniel Arzani, Karamoko Dembele and Sinclair as their wide options; that’s nine players for two positions.
It seems pretty clear that Lennon doesn’t have plans for Sinclair as he couldn’t even get in the squad before Elyounoussi’s arrival, and with his contract up at the end of the season, the writing appears to be on the wall for him.
Lennon’s comments looked to have given Sinclair hope of turning his situation around, but Elyounoussi’s arrival surely leaves Sinclair in the wilderness, and with the transfer window over, he faces a difficult few months at Parkhead.
