Yesterday evening, Leeds scout Francisco ‘Paco’ Peral revealed on Twitter that he was doing a bit of scouting in Borussia Monchengladbach’s Champions League clash with Shakhtar Donetsk.
Peral was hired by Victor Orta in 2017 after working alongside the Whites’ Director of Football at Middlesbrough and Elche.
On his Twitter, he uploaded a photo of the group stage clash, along with a picture of his laptop in which a detailed spreadsheet of both teams can be seen.
So, who might the Spaniard have been watching last night?
Alassane Pléa

Nobody knows if Peral began the evening planning to watch Alassane Pléa – however, there’s little chance he turned his TV off feeling unimpressed by what he saw from the Frenchman.
Pléa netted a stunning hat-trick against the Ukrainians, including a phenomenal long-range effort for his second.
The Bundesliga hitman – who cost his side £22 million – also got the assist for Lars Stindl’s goal.
Christoph Kramer

Christoph Kramer might have to give up the headlines to Pléa after his incredible hat-trick, although the 2014 World Cup winner also covered himself in glory.
It was his long-range strike which forced an own-goal from Valeriy Bondar, but SofaScore shows he also had a fine game all round.
The Germany international completed two successful dribbles, won two ground duels and also two aerial duels. Kramer also recorded an impressive 95% passing accuracy, completing 72 passes in total.
