AS claim that Mbappe is prepared to sign a new deal with PSG, but he wants a release clause inserted into any contract he signs.
That could offer Liverpool hope that a transfer could happen somewhere down the line, with the French striker believed to be high up on their list of targets.
The Telegraph have said that Mbappe is Klopp’s dream signing for Liverpool, but any transfer looks hugely challenging right now.
Mbappe is arguably the hottest prospect in world football and any deal to sign him would require Liverpool to set a new record fee.
Mbappe’s current PSG deal is due to expire in 2022 though, so the French side are under some pressure to agree new terms with him, and that could lead to them giving in over offering him a release clause.
Mbappe has blasted in 30 goals and claimed 17 assists in a remarkable season for the Ligue 1 outfit this term.
