If rumours are believed, Arsenal are interested in signing Manor Solomon from Shakhtar Donetsk this month.

According to The Guardian, the Israel winger is on the Gunners’ shortlist of targets – something that his agent hardly denied by revealing ‘anything can happen’ a little earlier this week.

It does look like Solomon is a genuine target for Arsenal and if that’s the case, it isn’t good news for Reiss Nelson.

The 21-year-old Shakhtar attacker can play at left and right wing, meaning that wide players are in jeopardy at the Emirates Stadium if this does indeed materialise.

Thing is, Nelson is far and away most at risk to leave North London.

Bukayo Saka and Nicolas Pepe won’t be going anywhere, nor will Willian even though a lot of Arsenal fans would love to see the Brazilian leave following what’s been a dreadful first season with them.

Considering Gabriel Martinelli and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – two players who Mikel Arteta uses out left – are also there, Nelson is the one and only casualty to be incurred from Solomon’s potential arrival.

The 21-year-old has already been linked with a move away, with The Independent claiming that Arsenal are willing to lose him if it means Emiliano Buendia comes the other way from Norwich City.

As of right now, Nelson, who struggled in the FA Cup against Newcastle United, is clinging on to the Gunners by his fingernails, but Solmon coming in would almost certainly see him leave the club.

He’s still a very big talent but it looks increasingly likely that Nelson won’t reach his potential at Arsenal.
