Rangers star Joe Aribo has emerged as a potential £10million signing by Crystal Palace ahead of the summer window. But if a move is going to happen, surely it hands Rangers the ideal player-plus-cash opporunity.

Aribo, 25, has been a revelation for Rangers since joining the club from Charlton. Clocking up 126 games in less than three years, he was a crucial part of the title-winning side last term, also winning 12 Nigeria caps.

The Sun report that Crystal Palace want to sign Aribo, with Rangers looking for a fee of £10million. A move back down south seems inevitable, with Aribo entering the last 18 months of his contract at Ibrox.

But if Rangers are to sell Aribo, for £10million, surely Rangers can use it to their advantage. In the January window, Rangers were linked with a move to sign Palace talent Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, according to The Mail.

If Palace want Aribo, Rangers should include Rak-Sakyi in deal…

Rak-Sakyi is only 19, but his form in Premier League 2, a regular scouting ground for Scottish football, has been excellent. Amad Diallo has starred in the second string of Premier League football for Manchester United.

Clocking up 19 appearances for Palace’s Under-23 side, scoring 13 goals in that time. He has also laid on three assists. Rak-Sakyi can play on either flank, or even up top. A player with supreme talent.

At Palace, he has little chance of breaking into the side. Palace boast Eberechi Eze, Wilfried Zaha, Michael Olise, Jordan Ayew and other options. So, surely, Rak-Sakyi will be looking elsewhere. Rangers could be ideal.

If Aribo is to go, Rangers have got to be willing to reduce the £10million price tag and include the Palace teenager. Perhaps a deal of £5million and Rak-Sakyi could be a deal that suits all parties involved.
