Arsenal are reportedly keen on Zeki Celik.
According to The Evening Standard, the Lille right-back is very much being considered for a summer swoop by the Emirates Stadium club.
The Gunners might need a new right-back amid speculation of Hector Bellerin going back to Spain.
And if Arsenal sign Celik, for the reported figures, it could be an absolute bargain.
Snip
The Standard reported that the 24-year-old defender could leave the French side for as little as £13 million this summer.
And considering he has just won a Ligue 1 title with Lille, that would represent a stunning piece of business.
Arsenal need all the winning mentality that they can get and Celik would certainly bring that.
Edu has made one or two pretty dreadful transfer decisions in the two years that he returned to North London to become his former club’s technical director.
You know it’s a bad bit of business when even free transfers like Willian – who signed on last summer – have been awful additions.
And although Edu has done good business too, signing Celik for £13 million would be right up there with his best.
Whether it’s transfer fee or salary, the Turkey international isn’t going to break the bank for Arsenal.
