Well, Dani Ceballos is back at Arsenal.
The Gunners revealed on their official website last night that they had successfully re-signed the Spain international on loan from Real Madrid.
Ceballos was a huge player for Arsenal during Project Restart and played a big role in helping Mikel Arteta’s side to win the FA Cup.
The bad news for their fans is that with Ceballos back on board, signing Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar makes little to no sense.
But the good news is that Arsenal might be about to throw the kitchen sink in their efforts to bring Thomas Partey to the Emirates Stadium.
Partey has been linked with a move to North London since March.
For the past couple of weeks there’s been a lot of speculation about the Ghana international and Aouar joining Arteta’s side, but Ceballos’s return ensures that the latter is no longer needed and therefore it’s plausible that all of their efforts are now focused on getting Partey.

Of course, there’s still the small matter of keeping Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but there is growing confidence that he will sign a new deal with Arsenal.
But in terms of transfer targets, this summer is again all about Partey after Arteta and Edu signed Willian and Gabriel Magalhaes.
And it wouldn’t be a big surprise if they stepped up their pursuit of the defensive-midfielder now.
There may be speculation about other players coming in between now and October, but none will be bigger or more expensive than the Atletico man, if it happens.
