Harry Kane looks set for a very busy summer as he seems intent on securing a move away from Tottenham Hotspur.
The red-hot Spurs striker is reported to have asked the club for permission to leave during the upcoming transfer window.
Kane, in an interview with Gary Neville, then admitted that he did not want to have any regrets at the end of his career in what was a big hint that he does indeed want to leave Tottenham who, despite having one of the world’s finest goalscorers, haven’t won a trophy since 2008.
The North Londoners are reportedly furious with the 27-year-old’s management for leaking information about his desire to leave before the season has even finished.
And according to a report from The Mirror on Thursday night, Kane was due to receive five Player of the Year awards before Tottenham’s visit of Aston Villa on Wednesday, but there was no pre-match ceremony for the player.
The report added that it was simply down to timing issues rather than anything spiteful.
But here’s how some Lilywhites fans reacted to the report on Twitter:
At this point it looks like it’d be a minor miracle if he remains at the Lilywhites beyond this summer.
That being said, we can’t forget that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is famous – or maybe infamous – for being a tough negotiator and with three years left on Kane’s contract, it’s inevitable that Spurs will get a cracking deal.
