Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to heap praise on Kortney Hause, following his display in the 0-0 draw against Burnley.

The 25-year-old was making his first Premier League appearance of the season in the absence of Ezri Konsa, and he carried himself well.

Against Sean Dyche’s side, the £3 million defender helped Villa keep a second consecutive clean sheet in the Premier League.

Hause also could’ve won the game for the Villans, but saw his close-range header cannon back off the woodwork in heartbreaking fashion.

According to SofaScore, the Redbridge-born centre-back made five clearances against Burnley, while also recording one interception.

Hause also won a huge nine aerial duels, while successfully completing two of his attempted four long-range passes.

Considering he hasn’t played much football this term, the former Wolves man was excellent and didn’t let Dean Smith down at all.

He will, presumably, be hoping that his display impressed Smith enough to remain in his starting XI, even when Konsa returns to action.

The Villans now sit 11th with 19 points to their name, and are just five points off the top four with two games in hand.
