Nigel Spink has claimed on Twitter that he believes Jack Grealish will stay at Aston Villa this summer.
The European Cup winner shared that ‘nothing surprises’ him in football, but he questioned why the boyhood Villa fan would leave.
With Grealish being one of the top playmakers in the country, it has alerted those clubs in the Champions League, including Manchester City.
But with Villa’s owners wanting to get back into Europe themselves, it’s going to take some serious money for them to even consider selling their star man.
This is what Spink put on his Twitter account in regards to Grealish’s future in B6:
Well, Grealish has just finished competing at Euro 2020 where England suffered a gut-wrenching defeat to Italy in the final.
The expert-ball carrier was under-used during the tournament, and despite being in that situation, his reputation has still gone through the roof.
But with Villa wanting to get back into Europe, there’s no way they will let go of their prized asset, unless he bangs the door down to leave.
And in truth, that’s not in Grealish’s nature or character, but with him in the squad, Dean Smith’s side have a great chance of getting into Europe next season.
