Oumar Niasse provides update on his future at Everton

Marco Silva decided to allow Oumar Niasse to leave Everton on loan to join Cardiff City in January.

Everton forward Oumar Niasse has admitted to the Daily Star that he hasn’t decided whether he will be at Goodson Park next season.

Everton have loaned out Niasse to Cardiff City, and he has gone on to play regularly for Neil Warnock’s side.

Niasse has found goals hard to come by, but his hard-working performances have earned him praise from Warnock.

And when asked whether a permanent move away from Everton could occur at the end of the season, the striker said: “I’m still an Everton player – I’m just on loan.

“But my future we’re going to decide at the end of the season.

“The end of the season is just six games to go and at the end of the season I’m going to have one year left with Everton.

“I will see openly what exactly the football [club] is going to give to me.”

In truth Niasse’s chances of breaking back into Everton’s team look fairly bleak.

Marco Silva has never picked the rapid forward regularly, and when he has been selected his displays have not always impressed.

The £13.5 million signing (BBC Sport) from Lokomotiv Moscow has failed to hold down a spot in Everton’s team ever since he arrived at Goodison Park back in 2016.

And it seems that a move away from Merseyside could be best for all parties involved at the end of the campaign.
