Spurs were 3-0 up at one stage, but Nuno’s Wolves scored twice thereafter from the penalty spot to threaten a comeback.
Tottenham legend Ardiles was following the match, and the former Argentina international central midfielder has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the win.
The former Spurs manager has picked four positives, including the performance of midfielder Harry Winks.
Ardiles has also stated on Twitter that 20-year-old Tottenham defender Juan Foyth has to learn.
The Argentina Under-20 international gave away both the penalties that Wolves successfully converted.

The match against Wolves saw the youngster make his debut for Tottenham in the Premier League.
According to WhoScored, Foyth had a pass accuracy of 93.2%, won one header, took 70 touches, attempted one dribble, and made three tackles, one interception and three clearances.
