Osvaldo Ardiles has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder Heung Min-Son is starting to prove his doubters wrong, after his performance against Stoke City.
Son appeared to be danger of being sold during the previous transfer window, after failing to make the desired impact during his first season at White Hart Lane.
The South Korean seemed to be well down the pecking order at the start of the campaign, but he was handed his first start by Mauricio Pochettino against Stoke.
And Son repaid his manager’s faith by scoring a fine double in Tottenham’s impressive 4-0 victory.
Son’s display was a reminder of the talent that he possesses, and it was one of a number of positives which Ardiles picked out after the match.
Tottenham’s win over Stoke has elevated them into fourth place in the Premier League table, after an encouraging start.
Pochettino’s side remain unbeaten through their first four league games, and they seem to be going from strength to strength – with Moussa Dembele’s imminent return only set to make them an even greater force.
Spurs’ next match comes in the Champions League against Monaco on Wednesday evening.
