Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur won against Newcastle United at the weekend.

Osvaldo Ardiles has praised Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino on Twitter following the win against Newcastle United at the weekend.
Tottenham got the better of Newcastle 1-0 at Wembley Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Son Heung-Min scored the only goal of the match in the 83rd minute, benefitting from an error from Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka.
Fernando Llorente played a role in the goal after the Spanish striker came off the substitutes’ bench on the hour mark.
Danny Rose also started the match on the bench, and the England international left-back came on in the 78th minute.
Tottenham legend Ardiles believes that it was a touch of genius from Pochettino to leave Llorente and Rose on the bench until late on.

The narrow win against Newcastle did put Tottenham in second place in the Premier League table on Saturday afternoon, but Manchester City’s victory over Arsenal on Sunday evening means that the North London outfit are back in third, although they are certainly in the race for the title this season.
